Today I harvested Garlic, snap peas, mustard greens, beans, dill, chamomile ,basil, chard, kale and a few flowers for a vase. As some artist need to do, I started another job at the Howard Center in the Direct Services dept. working with Adults with mental challenges. I am a living skills sub helping my clients in the community and at home.
I was accepted to an Artist Residency in Panama, living with the Indigenous People for 3 weeks in the jungle of the San Blas Islands. No frills, no WIFI or cell service ( total concentration!) Check it out here: https://www.lawayakacurrent.com I received a little grant money through the organization but need to raise more and will be working on funding very soon. I would like to offer a piece of art for those that can donate to the cause. It is a dream to work with the indigenous people and combine my love of art with Environment, Herbal Studies and Ecology. I feel blessed and will be going in April 2020 if all goes well! Stay tuned.
I am currently working on a show in November titles “Contrast” and will be posting photos as I finish the pieces. What does contrast mean to you? There are so many ways to represent this word, and I am excited to show you what my expression is.
I sold my “Vermont rocks” painting that I use for my Facebook background! More Donkey print orders coming in too.
Hope everyone is savoring the warmth of summer and getting out to do fun adventures. Art, Gardening, Berry picking, Kayaking, Friends and Biking seem to be mine. The Holbein art week is here, but I will have to pass this year saving for Panama!!
